The final days of winter skiing are upon us. Daddy has been trying to take full advantage of the warmer temps and the remaining snow! Luke believes that every time he hits the slopes, he has to conquer something more difficult than he did the previous time. He's celebrated some real accomplishments this ski season. On this day, he went up the chairlift, down the hill and back up the chairlift without "touching" Daddy. (Don't worry, Daddy was there just in case!)
This was Riley's first attempt at moving with skis. She did great, except she wanted to ski like Linsday Vonn after only one run down the hill. :) She walked very well with one ski on and was able to get herself up after falling without too much trouble. We had to take a chicken nugget break about mid-way through. She was content eating on the deck of the chalet with Mom until she spotted Luke and Dan skiing down the hill. After that, she enjoyed a few runs with Daddy, but pitched a fit when she was ready for a solo trip down the hill and Dad wouldn't let go of her. It's not likely to be the last time we squelch her independence. :)
