After 2 years of promising to take Luke camping, we finally followed through on a chilly, but beautiful weekend in September. Fall camping is always so much fun because you can put on layers of clothes, snuggle up to the fire and eat an endless number of marshmallows. The regional park was an 8 minute drive from our home and provided just enough nature to be "outdoorsey" but was close enough to drive back home and retrieve the sack of food we left sitting on the couch. Aside from the really chilly nighttime temps, trying to wrangle Riley into her sleeping bag numerous times throughout the night and laying on a deflated sleeping pad, it was a really fun time! We will definitely be making this an annual event!
