Here's a test run at keeping you updated on Luke and our family! We'll see if this works.
Today Karla arrived home after an extended weekend visiting "Aunt Kim" in Denver. She had a great time and if she didn't have summer fever before, she does now! After a quick lunch with Beth, she headed home to pick up Dan and take him and a teammate to the airport for their 5-day trip to Austin, TX, for USVA nationals. Luckily he had help from Grandpa and Grandma McHugh over the weekend and last night. They were able to take Luke to school today so Daddy could go to work extra early. When Karla arrived at Luke's school, he was full of energy. He showed off crawling all over the place (wanting to play 'chase me'). After she caught him, he snuggled so nice in the crook of her neck. It was the best welcome home ever! While Mommy was away he cut another upper tooth (the count is up to 6 now). His bottom teeth are coming in crooked. It will be interesting to see how they look after growing a little more. He was generally in a good mood this evening. We went to Target after school and picked up some groceries. When we got home, Mommy tried to feed him some more yogurt. This time was more successful than the first, but only because it was mixed with apple-banana-strawberry baby food (his favorite). After that, he got a bath. By this time he was turning cranky. It was probably a combination of tooth pain and being tired. Anyway, he loves bath time and would sit in the duck tub for hours if he was allowed. He also loves it to drink water if it is poured slowly into his mouth from a cup up above. Nothing makes him smile bigger, even if he's choking from too much water. He sucked down his bottle (as usual) and screamed to be put to bed by 7:00. Once he hit the crib, he grabbed his blanket, smiled and turned to his side.
Night, night! :)
