another birthday treat for Nanna

Nanna will love this video, if she can stomach watching it to the end.  Her aversion to belly buttons makes teasing her really easy.

This seems like a good time to document Luke's shower routine too!  He loves, loves, loves the shower time.
1.  "Go potty on the potty chair, Mommy, not potty in the shower."
2.  Mommy starts the shower and asks if Luke wants warm water.
3.  Luke gets in the back of the shower and eases his way into the stream of water.
4.  Luke stands in the water for about 3 minutes.
5.  Luke starts playing with toys.  Usually the empty plastic containers of varying sizes (aka, old puff container, grape juice container, small sherbet container).  We're either a really eco-friendly house or too cheap to buy real shower toys.
6.  Mommy lathers up the scrubby and give Luke some bubbles before washing him from head to toe.
7.  Shampoo time.  Wording is important.  Luke likes to put his head "under the rain" rather than be told to rinse off the soap.  Semantics...
8.  5 more minutes of "free time" in the shower.
9.  Mommy tells Luke it's almost time to turn the water off.  Twice.  Luke then turns the water off by himself and feels like a really big boy!
10. Dry off the parts.
11. LOTION TIME!!  We sing our lotion song.  Mommy squeezes lotion onto her finger.  Luke takes most of it and proceeds to stick it in his belly button.  As a result, his stomach is very smooth and soft.  :)
12. Mommy combs Luke's hair.  Luke combs Luke's hair.  Mommy re-combs Luke's hair.
13.  Get dressed.
14.  Brush-a-brush-a teeth.  We sing our song while preparing the toothbrush.  Luke sits on Mommy's lap and we proceed to look for all the food that he ate during the day.  The food really jumps around so we have to scrub everywhere!
15.  Luke finds Daddy and gives him a kiss!

Oooohhhhh, I'm weak! I'm glad you are clean, but the belly-button demonstration is too much for me. I prefer to hear you sing "Scrubba, scrubba..."
Santa said to bring your stocking and he'd bring some things to our house for you because you've been such a good boy.
Love,
Nanna
