Practice birthday #2, The Party

We celebrated Luke's 5th birthday on Sunday afternoon. He and I will be spending the 4th of July weekend in Denver with Auntie Kim, so this was our best chance at partying with friends and family. We started off with a quick lunch and some whacks at the pinata. Then we headed over to watch the Dan Patch Days parade. Thanks to Uncle Mick and Aunt Michelle, we had front row seating in their plush yard. :) Luke is proving to be quite a prophet... he promised there would be sun on his birthday and wouldn't you know, the skies parted and the sun shone for the entire parade!

Afterward, it was back to our house to eat cupcakes (Spiderman this time), open gifts and play with new toys. It was a really fun day!

I just ate the cupcake from Birthday #2...and discovered you have added pictures to the blog!!! (three days ago!!!) How fun to see all the activity. Looks like Luke got to ride in Jacob's Dad's convertible, too. And little Miss Riley, where did you get your pretty pink hat? The bubbles look like fun as well as poking at the pinata. Nice picture of Grandma McHugh and Luke. Thanks for sharing so many...Brocker looks a lot happier than he did at the first party. Lighted candles, no blowing!
