Luke's first foray into flag football

Luke joined flag football this fall in Burnsville.  The league is made up of 1st through 4th graders.  Being a whole-part learner, it took a while for things to click for Luke.  One of our favorite lines of the season was when Luke nearly pulled his first flag on defense.  He had the player by the shirt and flag but quickly let go because he "didn't want to pull his shirt because that would be a penalty and if I got a penalty, that would hurt the team more".  Football is such a cerebral game.
