We had another great day at the MN State Fair this year. We missed Grandpa and Grandma this year (and are eager for them to rejoin us next year!), but had fun with Nanna and II. We were up and at 'em early and hit the fairgrounds around 7:00. The pictures kind of tell the story of what we did and what we ate. We bought twice the discount ride tickets this year and quickly found out that we'll need even more next year. Luke shocked us by going through the kid haunted house ALL BY HIMSELF. When he emerged from the ride, we thought his face was a combination of fear and shock and confusion. I was all ready to put my arms around him, comfort him and promise him that he never had to go through another haunted house again. But as we got closer he sported an enormous grin and exclaimed, " THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!"
Riley was a daredevil on every ride she went on. She screamed so loud when we had to get off of the twisty roller coaster that the carnival worker thought Riley was traumatized from the ride. I had to explain that Riley was screaming because she didn't want to get off. The only thing that got her to stop was getting right back in line to do it again. It wasn't fun when we ran out of tickets!
