We've been in party mode this weekend! Daddy partied in Chicago where his volleyball tournament was called off due to torrential rain and replaced with a free beer and food fest. It's a wonder he ever came back to us.
While Daddy was away on Saturday, Luke and Mommy visited friends. First, was the Bisbee's for a quick stop to drop off crock pots. Next, we traveled to Libby's house. Luke and Libby are terrific friends and were able to play together unsupervised (sort of) while Tanya and Mommy caught up on day to day life and discussed get-away trips. After hugs and kisses with Libby, we headed off to Jaedon's house to celebrate his 5th birthday. It was a house full of adults and kids, great food, and fun conversation. Luke really warmed up as the night progressed, with his energy peaking soon after eating ice cream cake. He ran laps around and around the Kerr house, even reporting during one quick pit stop that he was a "busy guy!", clearly repeating something he heard from a person on the other side of the house. He fell asleep against his will around 9:30 as we drove home from the party. We were both ready for bedtime once we arrived home!

Whoa! Do I see Luke eyeing that beer? Just because Daddy can have one... or two...I think he's caught on to the party idea, without encouragement.
