A relaxing Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Our day started off with a blissful morning of sleep... Luke was tired from playing the day before, Daddy was tired from playing volleyball in LaCrosse, and Mommy never needs an excuse to get some extra sleep. :) We arose at almost 9:00 am, a very late morning. After playing for a while, we decided that our day should include a trip to the zoo, so we showered, checked the weather report, packed up, and hopped in the car. Unfortunately, it began to sprinkle as we drove toward the zoo and with the heavy cloud cover, we decided that it would be a while before the sun would be able to peek through. SO, we made a split second decision to turn around and head to Grandma and Grandpa's house to watch the Vikings and take a nap. We slept through most of the Vikings game (thank goodness!) and were up and at 'em by the end of the Twins victory. Luke was all over the place playing, both inside and outside. Grandpa, Grandma, Daddy and Mommy played a fun card game called Hand and Foot. (We won't dwell on this part, but let's just say that Grandpa and Mommy teamed up to whoop Grandma and Daddy... not once, but twice!)

There was time for reading and treats too! Check out the movies:

I suppose everyone thought it was just Papa that did fun things with Luke.Grandma gets to sneak in some time every once in a while. I think he likes the horse back rides and playing trucks better.

I suppose everyone thought it was always Papa that had Luke's attention. I think Luke prefers the horse back rides and playing with trucks. Grandma get to have her time with Luke when he's in the mood for stories. He usually tells me the story. What a memory he has.
