We took our first family trip at the beginning of August! Dan's Uncle Gene and Aunt Patricia hosted an annual McHugh get together at their cabin on Lake Pokegema. It's always such a fun weekend and this year was no exception. Those who ventured into the lake were real diehards... the surface temp was 65 degrees due to the cool summer temperatures this year. Too bad the photos couldn't show how vigorously Luke was shaking by the time we got him into some dry clothes.
This was also Luke's first fishing experience. Uncle Gene has every gadget, gizmo, pole and lure one could possibly need to catch "the big one". Luke got to man the throttle of the boat, reel in the lure and even watch a water plane take off into the sky. It was a special experience!!
We retreated to the warm water at the hotel for some more comfortable swimming! Luke loved playing with Maggie. Mommy loved the 4-head shower. Daddy loved the huge breakfast buffet. Riley seemed to love making noises all night long so we couldn't fall into a deep sleep.
