Riley was a month old when we decided it was time to venture up to Harwood for a visit with Nanna and II. It was a working vacation for Luke as he went to the farm to help II harvest vegetables and drive the tractor. As you can see from the photos, getting dirty is an important part of the work. While Luke was working, Riley was enjoying the scenery out Nanna and II's living room window. Nanna couldn't help but take lots of pictures of Riley doing what she does best... posing and smiling.
Since everything was under control, Daddy and Mommy spent the weekend "kid free" at Lori and Curtis' cabin. All of the adults in attendance were parents (a far cry from the old days!). While we had grandiose plans of partying until dawn, we were all content to go to bed by 10:30 on Saturday night. And there was a clear understanding that if you chose to get up early, you'd better be quiet... a morning without a hungry child to feed is a rare ticket to sleep in!

Well deserved! Riley is looking a lot like Lukey and I can see Karla too! Beautiful!! That smile is going to get her very far in life!!
