We spent some time at the farm last weekend. Luke had a BLAST and is convinced he's going to be a farmer. (It's a pretty big step considering he was so afraid of the tractor noise that he had to hide in II's pickup.) We took a walk through the old farmhouse. II has it stripped down to the bare bones. In the photos, we're standing upstairs where Uncle Len and II's brothers and sister slept. The hole was where the chimney went through the house. On the way down the steps, we looked out what was once a window. Silly II snuck into our picture! Somebody should let him in on our family joke "There's no laughing in our family... we're serious!!".
Since the farmhouse leaves a little to be desired in terms of comfort, Nanna and II are building a "shouse". II has the sheet rock up so it's easy to imagine sending Luke up to the farm for an extended stay next summer! Hope Nanna and II are up for the challenge too...
