Well, Luke played his first "real" baseball game EVER, and it was quite an event for the whole family. Dad helped coach and Mom and Riley helped cheer. It was exciting! Luke went 3-for-3 on the night. He stood in "ready position" pretty well in the outfield. Other than that, the night was filled with a lot of talking and question asking. He approaches baseball like he approaches most things, with an intense passion to know the answer to "why". As you can imagine, a beginning baseball player needs to learn a lot and tonight officially began Luke's quest for knowledge. Thank goodness his coaches are patient. :)

Enthusiasm abounds! Hopefully Luke will be patient to explain the rules to Nanna. I think of Peter, Paul & Mary singing "Out in Right Field"...it gets to be a long wait.
Luke certainly doesn't lack for his Dad's attention...there won't be any "Cats in the Cradle" song when it comes to playing baseball with Luke.
