Dr. Luke Seuss

Luke's library day is Monday and after bringing home some non-fiction sports books the past few weeks, he rediscovered his love for Dr. Seuss. Previously, we always read the stories to Luke. Monday night, he treated us to a little after-dinner entertainment. He read the ENTIRE book, tackling words like "wonderful" "things" and "hippopotamus". After this major success and lots of praise, he's gung ho to read all of the time. Especially at 7:30 at night... wonder if it has anything to do with prolonging bedtime?

I can hardly wait for Luke to read me a story. Hard to believe he's already able to sound out such large words...I remember Mommy reading the Big Tidy Up at that age, but not so sure it wasn't more memorization. Keep it up!
