And to burn off the cake...

The cousins needed a way to burn off the sugar they consumed during the party and their tools were bikes and musical instruments. The boys and their daddies went up and down the street on their bikes. Vaughn lives on a big hill, so the flat road was probably a real blessing for him.

After most of the guests left, we were treated to a few musical selections from the Danielson family band. Luke and Vaughn took turns strumming the guitar and playing the harmonica while Brock manned the maraca. (Truth be told, I think Brock is the one who shows the most promise on the harmonica. He played a few songs earlier in the day that demonstrated his special talent!) It was an entertaining performance that included real and improvised songs, including an abbreviated version of Country Roads. :)

We are looking forward to our private Christmas program this year. With several months to practice, the Danielson grandchildren should put on an excellent performance. We won't judge, we'll just enjoy the talent.
