Happy Birthday, Maggie!

Luke attended his first "kid" birthday party on Saturday. We celebrated cousin Maggie's 3rd birthday. It was held at an indoor playground with 40 foot slides, mazes, and kids running everywhere. It was apparent that Luke enjoyed this environment as an outlet for his adventurous personality. In fact, he probably wouldn't have missed me had I walked away from the toddler "pen". The afternoon was spent climbing up the ramp and sliding down the toddler-sized slide. (We'll wait until next year to send him down the giant slide!) He loved every minute of it! We stopped to sing Happy Birthday to Maggie and enjoy some birthday cake and strawberry ice cream. Although he had his sippy cup, Luke was much more content drinking water out of the "grown-up" water bottle. If you've ever watched a 1 1/2 year old drink, you'll understand why I chose not to take another swig of the water which was originally mine.

We loved the party and the time with relatives. Luke is especially happy that Mommy now knows about this incredible play park! Mommy is thrilled to know that a couple hours at the park make for an exhausted, but happy Luke !
