Ho-Hum Halloween

Well Halloween is almost over and to this point, we haven't suffered any bad tricks! Unfortunately, Luke's trip to the doctor this morning resulted in the diagnosis of an ear infection so he wasn't able to go out and scare the neighbors in his pirate costume tonight. I'm sure glad we snapped a few pictures last weekend!

After the doctor's appointment this morning, Mommy dropped Luke off at Grandma and Grandpa McHughs and headed off to work. When she returned after school, she noticed that there were plastic containers scattered all over the kitchen floor and toys everywhere! Apparently Grandma and Grandpa made Luke forget all about being sick! :) Luke did spend a rare 45 minutes sitting on Grandpa's lap looking out the window at squirrels and nature, but other than that, he was pretty normal.

Later, Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner and the trick-or-treaters fashion show. Luke spent the night grabbing candy from the candy bowl next to the door and delivering it to us one piece at a time. Grandpa was the most frequent recipient of the treats, probably because he showers Luke with goodies whenever he's around! :) Luke also enjoyed racing to the door when the bell rang to see the kids. There's no doubt that Luke will be ready for his own trick-or-treat experience next year!
