Sick day.

Luke is sick. :( He woke up on Wednesday with a hoarse cough and runny eyes and nose. Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to take care of Luke all day Wednesday so Luke could get the TLC he needed to get better. Thursday morning, Mommy took Luke to the doctor just to make sure his cold wasn't getting worse (3 kids at daycare had croup earlier this week.). Despite giving Dr. Westlund a run for her money, Luke checked out just fine. No ear infection, no croup... just something viral that will have to run its course. Mommy set up the humidifier when we got home to see if that will help loosen up the junk in Luke's chest. Tonight, Luke fell asleep in Mommy's arms. As much as I loved rocking my baby to sleep, I'd much rather have him healthy, full of energy, and too independent to be held for more than a minute.

We did manage to have some fun in between the coughing fits today. Luke's big trick was to stand up on the couch and then slide down the back cushion until he was sitting down. He also enjoyed "pushing" Mommy over.
