Luke was in a playful mood today. We called Daddy this morning (after Mommy cleaned up the big "blow out" in Luke's sleeper, yuck!) and even though it was 6 AM in Whistler, Dan didn't seem to mind the wake-up call. Luke kept saying, "Morning, Daddy" which Dan appreciated as a great way to start the day.
Our original plans for the day included a "family movie" at 10 am... when we got to the theater, the movie was already sold out. Luke enjoyed running the halls of a local strip mall instead. We also visited JoAnn Fabrics and tested all of the skeins of yarn. I'd pick one up and rub it on Luke's cheek and he would respond with an "oooh, soft". :) We made a quick trip past Grandma and Poppa's to say hi to Carley, then went home for a nap. After Luke's nap, he was raring to go. Here are some pictures... pretty advanced to be putting a Rubik's Cube together, don't you think?? Actually he was using it to play telephone. The box he's sitting on is a Christmas present from Mommy and Daddy that never got opened. Apparently, he is enjoying the box as much as he would the toys.
After the box it was on to the curtains. Not quite as much fun as when Vaughn is here playing with Luke, but he did his best to relive the fun times he had with his cousin.
Tonight we were dinner guests of Grandma and Poppa. Luke gave them quite a hostess gift... another blow out. An impromptu bath was necessary before we ate. Poppa blew the biggest bubbles I've ever seen using only a bar of soap and his big, big hands. Luke loves any tricks Poppa shows him (and Poppa shows him many!).

Hi Luke,
I'll take the curtain with Luke behind it! I'm impressed with your imagination. That Christmas present will still be a nice surprise for your birthday in June and think of all the times you can climb and sit on it before then..."Luke's stage!"
Glad your experiencing some blow-outs...maybe you'll get beyond those grunting sessions that look so painful.
Love, Nanna
