Tuesday was a day filled with strangers! Our social calendar was full with parties and entertaining. First, we went to a pool party at the home of one of Mommy's colleagues. It took Luke a while to check everybody out, but once he found the playhouse and the kids' plastic grill, he was right at home frying up plastic hot dogs and buns. Everyone was impressed with his culinary skills... and his height. :)
When we got home, it was straight to bed for a much needed nap. When Luke awoke, our friend Amy was at our house! Again, it took him some time to warm up, but he eventually let out a "bye, Amy" as Amy's car was leaving the driveway. For the rest of the night and even this morning he kept repeating, "Amy went bye-bye in the car?"
After Amy left, we waited for Dan's Aunt Sara and Cousins Mollie and Ryan to stop by. Again, Luke was master of being coy, until Sara & Ryan were left in charge of the watermelon. Then, Luke became instant friends with anyone who would slip him a piece. It was clear that Ryan didn't have a lot of experience changing the diaper of a young child who had eaten too much watermelon... he quickly became Luke's best friend and wrestling buddy. Too bad Ryan wasn't around for diaper duty this morning! :)
With everything going on, I forgot to pull out the camera! Uggh!
