Doctor, Doctor, give me the news...

What a day it has been! Mommy picked up Luke this morning from Grandpa and Grandma's house. They watched Luke last night while Mommy and Daddy played in their final Monday night vb league game (We won the league championship!). When she arrived, Grandpa Jim showed Mommy what Luke learned last night. He can now maneuver DOWN the stairs. Despite this new skill, we won't be leaving the baby gate open anytime soon!

Luke took a quick nap and woke up happy (like always). Then it was lunch time. The macaroni and cheese didn't go down too well, but the chocolate pudding sure did!

After a bath, we headed off for Luke's doctor appointment. He weighed 25.75 lbs. and measured 32 1/2 inches long. Dr. Oseid informed us that kids who measure where Luke is at one year almost always reach at least 6'3" as an adult. I don't think either of us was too surprised. The only other notable comment made by the doctor was, "Wow! Look at those feet. They're pretty big...". There are many wonderful qualities Luke could inherit from his Grandpa Jim, however we were hoping his size 18 feet weren't one of them. :)

Shots went well... the pictures speak for themselves. Don't worry, he was smiling and giggling by the time we left! I think he was most enthralled with his first big band aid. The nurse called it a "bling band aid" because it looked like silver glitter. Luke has been pointing at things and casting spells with his fancy finger since we left the doctor's office.

*Check out the look he's giving to the nurse! How would you like to be on the receiving end of that all day? No thanks!

We don't anticipate an eventful evening, but you can be sure we'll post if there's anything noteworthy!
